JULY NEWSLETTER
SCHOOL LIFE
Welcome back for Term 3! We trust you are well rested and ready to join us for a successful third term.
WORKSHOP
Please diarise the last parent workshop in the series of workshops. This topic was a request from our parents and we encourage all parents to attend.
Tuesday, 30 July 2019 Parenting pre-teens and teens (Shelley Ferrari) R70
This workshop will be held in the gymnasium and will be from 18:00 – 19:00
The cost of each workshop will be added to your account.
CHARITY
Our Grade RR – 3 learners will still be supporting the Save the Rhino campaign. They may purchase a Save the Rhino badge for R15 from their class teachers. Due to demand, additional badges are now available. Get your order in early as badges are limited.
MANDELA DAY (18 July)
As it is Mandela Day this Thursday 18 July, we would like to do our part in making a difference. This year, we would like to challenge all of our learners to bring at least one second hand book which is still in a good condition, as well as a wrapped sandwich to school. These items can be handed in to your child’s register class teacher by Thursday and will then be distributed to the less fortunate. Let’s all do our part in helping others!
EISTEDDFOD
Learners who have committed themselves by choosing to take part in the Eisteddfod are expected to attend ALL practices. Learners have the relevant details as given out last term. Be reminded that parents are responsible to get learners to the venue on time, they must be in their full, formal uniform. Our learners usually excel at the Eisteddfod and we encourage the same achievements this year.
